Road Warriors: Meet Isidro Fileto
From foundries to flat roofs, Isidro Fileto brings decades of experience, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude to every project. After spending nearly 34 years in the foundry industry, Isidro returned to roofing and is grateful for the opportunity to continue doing what he enjoys most. Whether he's leading a crew, traveling to job sites, or watching a Brewers game with family, Isidro takes pride in doing the job the right way.
What's the most unexpected thing you've found on a roof?
I've encountered bee hives!
If you had to motivate a team of tired and stressed workers, what would you do?
I believe in staying positive and recognizing the hard work my crew puts in every day. It's important that they know they're appreciated, supported, and that their efforts never go unnoticed.
What's your approach to ensuring safety standards are met on every project you oversee?
Every day starts with a meeting to discuss the work ahead, review safety precautions, and reinforce the importance of working safely. Keeping safety top of mind is part of our daily routine.

hat's the most memorable roofing project you've worked on and why?
One of the most memorable projects I worked on was in Arkansas. The sunrises there were spectacular, and it was exciting to be part of such a large-scale roofing project.
If commercial roofing sites had theme songs, what would be playing on yours?
"Feliz, Feliz (Happy Happy)" by Banda El Mexicano.
If you could choose a historical figure to oversee a commercial roofing project with you, who would it be and why?
I would choose Luis Barragán, one of Mexico's most influential architects. His attention to detail and commitment to quality would bring a unique perspective to any construction project. We share the same philosophy of taking pride in our work and making sure every project is completed the right way.
