The past few weeks have been trying, at best. Percy developed an ulcer in his right eye which eventually led to an emergency surgery to remove the eye. They told me the procedure is rougher on the parent than the pet. I have no idea if that’s true, but I can say that he is definitely feeling much better. Every now and then (when I’m with him) I give him a break from the cone. It’s good to see him rest soundly. He’s a terrier through and through: nothing seems to hold him back. The ordeal knocked me back a bit, but I’m catching up with him. What a kid.
