The pulse of Filipino American stories in Chicago has been beating for 36 years. Finally, a new look that combines the classic and natural fibers of our culture, woven with the modern identities, has arrived.

Thank you to everyone that supported us on our journey here, but we are excited to chart to new stories, explore new voices, but still keep the same heartbeat and pintig alive through Filipino American theatre.

This is CIRCA Pintig.

Thank you for your elegant work in developing our new look.

🇵🇭 “I laughed, cried, and saw myself.”

What a beautiful way to kick off Filipino American History Month! Our Chicago Filipino American Theatre Festival welcomed 216 audience members and 154 survey responses—with audiences celebrating all six plays for their humor, heart, artistry, and the power of seeing our stories onstage. ❤️

Thank you to every artist, volunteer, supporter, and audience member who made this celebration possible!

As CIRCA Pintig celebrates our 35th Anniversary Season, let’s keep the stories—and the celebrations—going. Explore our October events calendar, bring a friend, and celebrate with us! ✨

As we gear up for Filipino American History Month, we are beaming with pride after watching the third episode of CAN TV’s Chi 21: The Art of Belonging, presented by CIRCA Pintig.

This episode is a perfect way to begin our History Month celebrations, connecting beautifully to this year’s theme: “Beyond the Margins: Centering Intersectional Filipino American History."

In this third episode, our co-hosts RJ and Carina share a thoughtful and joyful conversation about their connection to the arts in Chicago, their creative journeys, and their relationship with CIRCA Pintig, including the productions they’ve been part of and the ways they continue to create, collaborate, and build community through art.

The conversation is such an easy listen and a meaningful watch, featuring media clips, powerful monologues from our actors, and montages from past productions that highlight the range, heart, and production value of our work.

At its core, this episode is about art, belonging, history, and community, and the pride that comes from telling our stories in our own voices.

Before October begins, we invite you to watch The Art of Belonging and join us in kicking off Filipino American History Month with reflection, celebration, and pride.

Please tune in, and be sure to like, follow, and subscribe. Also, check out our Chicago FAHM calendar in celebration of Filipino American History Month for more upcoming events and programs.

Maraming salamat to our friend Rocio at CAN TV, Chi 21, and to Carina and RJ for bringing us such a lovely and meaningful conversation.
