We’re excited to welcome Michael Deranek to our Chicago office as an Assistant Project Manager!

Michael brings experience in client management and project coordination. A graduate of the University of Arizona, he has also earned a certification in Construction Project Management from the University of San Diego.

His background in communications and client service from start to finish will be a great addition to our growing Interiors team.

Chicago’s I-80 and I-55 corridors continue to drive the region’s industrial market, and one of the projects helping fuel that activity is taking shape now.

The Chicago Business Journal highlights RJW Logistics Group's Logistics’ 1.2-million-square-foot facility at Karis Park West in Montgomery, Illinois, currently under construction by DSI.

The project builds on DSI’s work at Karis Park West, where we previously completed the 500,000-square-foot Ravago distribution facility, bringing our construction footprint within the development to more than 1.7 million square feet.

For DSI, it’s another example of the large-scale industrial and logistics work our teams are delivering across the region.

DSI is expanding our focus on Hospitality.

For more than 30 years, DSI has delivered the places people choose to eat, shop and spend their time. Recent projects including DICK’S House of Sport, The Purple Pig and CD Peacock reflect the range of our work across hospitality, retail and recreation, and the demands that come with it: thoughtful preconstruction, complex ex*****on, high-quality finishes and opening dates that matter.

Now, we’re putting more focus behind that experience.

In his new role as Business Development Executive, Mitch Green will lead DSI’s growth across hospitality, retail, restaurant and recreation, bringing a construction perspective to the conversation early and helping turn ambitious concepts into spaces that perform as well as they look.

Mitch’s career includes work with Puttshack, Topgolf and F1 Arcade. Most recently, he served as a Senior Project Manager at DSI, giving him firsthand knowledge of how our teams approach the complex, detail-driven work he’ll now help grow.

Backed by DSI’s design-build capabilities, construction expertise and field resources, Mitch understands what it takes to move these projects from an early idea to opening day, whether it’s a new concept, an existing space or a live environment where business needs to continue throughout construction.

When the experience is the product, Mitch is a great first call.
