Native plant rain garden installed last year! These plant root systems can withstand the extremes of standing water and dry dry conditions. 3 years of Chicago winters and one of the first ”Blue Roofs” is performing at peak performance. What is a Blue Roof? A Roof system that holds large volumes of water underneath it and slowly releases the water into the storm water system. This helps reduce flooding in Chicago!!!! So proud of this project.
