Studio GC is proud to support the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation as a Table Partner at its Annual Dinner on November 5th. We are also excited to share that this year’s dinner will be co-chaired by Studio GC Principal Chris Malensek and Harold Francke of Meltzer, Purtill & Steele. Proceeds from the evening support the Foundation’s work funding gastrointestinal cancer research.

This past Saturday, one of our Studio GC principals, Cory, and our interns, Annika and Jordyn, ran El Trote de las Calacas, a festive Day of the Dead 5K in Elgin!

We were proud to sponsor the race, which supports the Gail Borden Public Library District Foundation and the U-46 Educational Foundation, two organizations doing meaningful work for children in the Elgin area. Congratulations to Cory, Annika, Jordyn, and the foundations!

The Illinois Library Association Annual Conference kicks off tomorrow at the Peoria Civic Center. From October 6 to 8, the Illinois library community will gather for three days of learning and conversation around this year’s theme, “Fired Up & Ready to Go: For All Illinois Libraries!”

We’re proud to share that Studio GC Principal Craig Meadows will be a panelist for “From Data to Direction: Integrating Facility Condition, Space Needs, & Strategic Planning.” Craig joins Michaela Haberkern of Aurora Public Library District and Michelle Krooswyk of New Lenox Public Library District to discuss how libraries can bring facility assessments, space needs, and strategic planning together into one clear direction for the future.

Progress update at Highland Park Public Library!

The 7,800 sq ft addition to this 94-year-old library is taking shape. Once complete, the expansion will bring larger youth spaces, an Innovation Studio makerspace, a climate-controlled home for the Highland Park Archives, and a community meeting room.

The library welcomes more than 700 visitors a day, and this addition gives the community room to grow. We can’t wait to see this space come to life!

This past Saturday, our team joined the Three Rivers Public Library Foundation at The Next Chapter Gala, celebrating 50 years of the Three Rivers Public Library District.

Studio GC was proud to be a sponsor of the evening! Libraries are some of the most meaningful spaces we get to design, and it was a privilege to support one that has served Channahon and Minooka since 1976.

Congratulations to the library staff, the Foundation, and everyone at Four Rivers Environmental Education Center who made the night such a success. Here’s to the next 50 years of stories.

The new outdoor pavilion at the Lake Villa District Library is complete!

What started as a platform and storage room has become a fully realized outdoor space, with structural steel supporting the soaring roofline and amenities designed for seating, gathering and programming. The pavilion gives the library a whole new dimension for outdoor events and community connection.

Proud to have partnered with RVi Planning + Landscape Architecture to bring this project to life!
