We brought the microscope out
to Wacker drive for our spongy moth egg mass
removals!

Mechanically removing the egg masses reduces pest
pressure in spring, and reduces the need for any
chemical treatments.

Scouting is critical to an effective Integrated Pest
Management approach! This project was a great
opportunity to have some fun learning about
microscopes and their practical applications in the
landscaping industry.

We just finished our bulb plantings for Spring 2026!

This fall we planted 82,000 Muscari bulbs and 102,000 Tulip bulbs on the Michigan Avenue medians in downtown Chicago!

This spring we can expect a warm and vibrant display of 6 tulip varieties, designed by our friends at . The 2026 display will feature different shades of reds, oranges, yellows, and hot pinks. Special thanks to Chicago Department of Transportation for all the help with the project as well!

The summer annual displays on Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive are complete! We had a lot of fun working on this project with and .dot - stop by downtown Chicago soon to check out the blooms!

Come grab some free tulip bulbs! The tulip bulbs from the 2025 Spring Michigan Ave display have been rescued by the Chicago Community Gardeners Association. The bulbs are located at 419 S Central Ave here in Chicago and available on a first come, first served basis.

Spring is here! Take a look at some of the tulips we planted last fall on Michigan Avenue...

In November of last year, we planted six different tulip varieties in the medians on Michigan Avenue. These plantings stretch all the way from Roosevelt to Delaware, covering two miles of road medians in downtown Chicago!

The six varieties of tulip that we planted are named Candy Prince, Purple Prince, Purple Eye, Flaming Flag, Violet Beauty, and Blue Spectacle Purple Doll.
