Topiarius We are a landscape design, build and maintenance company that is redesigning the Chicago urban lands

Our design is focused on maximizing spaces within the urban environment from small front yards to roof tops. Each square inch of our client's outdoor space needs to function properly, look attractive, and be maintainable. Why save rooftop living for summer?

At this newly constructed condo building, our clients envisioned an outdoor space to enjoy well beyond the warmest months.

The wish list paired comfort with a few personal touches: a pergola for shade and some shelter from light rain, plus heaters to make early-spring days and late-season evenings more inviting. A manually heated hot tub was a must-have, along with room to grow herbs and a few vegetables.

And when the sun goes down? A place to linger over dinner, with music playing and ambient lighting setting the mood. Every detail centered on the same idea: more time outside, doing what they love . . . living beautifully outdoors.

In a smaller outdoor space, your fence can do more than fade into the background . . . with wood posts, lattice, and Hardie board backing, it can become a real design feature that adds structure, privacy, and a polished sense of intention to the entire space.

A small project can completely change how a home feels.

This Chicago front entry started with a dysfunctional walkway between neighboring homes. With new clay pavers, gates, and a concrete pad, the space is now more functional, more welcoming, and far more connected. We carried that same intention into the front outdoor space and parkway with planting and a refined fence design that gives the home real presence on the street.
