At Hardt Electric, we believe sustainability and climate action starts at the community level—project by project, rooftop by rooftop.
Hardt Electric was proud to support the Institute for Cultural Affairs Chicago with this solar installation that contributes to a more resilient, community-driven energy future. This project reflects what’s possible when organizations take action in their community to reduce emissions and lead by example.
As highlighted in this video, buildings across the city—commercial, nonprofit, and residential—can play a critical role by adapting renewable energy infrastructure and strengthening climate resilience at the community level. The infrastructure investment not only helps our environment, it lowers energy costs for community residents and supports a long term return on investment for building owners.
The time has never been more optimal to introduce renewable energy infrastructure into your decarbonization plan, but building owners must act fast in order to take advantage of the 30% federal tax incentive (+ additional 10% for equity eligible communities) before it expires later this year - to yield the best return on investment.
