APEX Construction Group was recently hired to perform Design-Build services for VCX Chicago on their newest Chicagoland development. Apex was able to lower the client’s budget without comprising value during the pre-construction via value design/engineering. This 24,480SF mixed-use, multifamily development is a three-story, new construction, condo building that consists of 9 residential condominiums and ground floor commercial space. This week the foundation and backfill has been completed and our next step in the construction process is to begin the exterior masonry walls.

Apex Construction Group was responsible for the renovation of The Merrillville Office Tower which included a lobby and office renovations of approximately 20,000FT. This 8-story renovation includes office buildouts, bathroom facility upgrades, and lobby remodeling. Adaptive-Reuse construction was performed converting the existing space into a bank and university. Additional scope included a fire pump installation and boiler repairs.

The integration of BIM/3D Modeling into our building processes is a vital step in producing a quality construction project. Apex has an in-house BIM coordinator and coordinates with MEP trade subcontractors that understand the BIM building processes. With this, we are able to produce highly efficient, lean construction projects.
