It’s so hard to make sense of what happened on Saturday.

Sparing deeply personal details, in December 2021, Emily saved our family. Last summer, I spoke with her and thanked her for what she did - I almost didn’t take the opportunity to do that out of embarrassment. I’m now beyond grateful I didn’t let my embarrassment get in the way. By the end of our little chat, she smiled and ended up thanking me.

We are beyond sad right now and this all feels so surreal.

Emily was a huge the reason for why we chose to donate to the Chetek Police Department for their National Night Out event in 2022. Each year we planned to donate to another meaningful cause within our community. In honor of Emily and Hunter, we pledge our unwavering support to the Chetek P.D. and will help support their NNO event each year.

It’s been a sun-up ☀️ to sundown 🌚 kinda summer.
