Sometimes the transition between rooms deserves just as much attention as the rooms themselves.

Instead of a standard opening, we created a full curved arch that gives the dining room a stronger sense of arrival and turns the view into part of the design. Add the sconces and carefully worked trim, and a simple passage becomes a statement all its own.

It’s one of those details that makes the whole home feel more intentional.

This simple canopy gives the everyday entry more presence, creates a little protection from the weather, and helps the door feel intentional instead of forgotten.

Blending old and new works best when the original character still gets to lead.

This hallway started with a 100-year-old brick wall. Rather than covering it up, we extended the language of the brick with a new vaulted ceiling and veneer, then used uplighting to bring out the texture, shadows, and imperfections that make the material so beautiful.

The result feels dramatic, but still completely rooted in the history of the home.

Great lighting is rarely about a single fixture.

In this wine cellar, we layered three different types of lighting to create depth and atmosphere: LED backlighting behind the cabinetry, pin lighting to highlight specific areas, and cove lighting to softly wash the room.

Each layer does something different, but together they completely change how the space feels.

A kitchen island can look like a piece of furniture without sacrificing the function hidden behind it.

For this island, we created a finished base that gives the cabinetry a more substantial, built-in look. But the toe kick is actually removable, held in place with magnets so everything behind it can still be accessed and serviced when needed.

A small detail, but exactly the kind of detail that makes custom cabinetry work better.
