I love this part about growing garlic just about as much as the garlic bulbs! It has a great garlic flavor and you can do so much with them (garlic scape butter, garlic scape pesto, pickled garlic scapes, add to stir fries, and the list goes on). This would eventually be the flower if left on the plant. Instead, we remove them so the plant can refocus its energy on bigger bulbs.

Sorry it's been a bit quiet over here. I've been busy selling tomato and cucumber plants and creating this!! 🤩 Just one more half truck full of soil should do about do it. Then I can finally plant!!

I absolutely love how gardening brings people together. Kozi Gardens has been an amazing journey for me! It's had its ups and downs, but the best thing it has done for me is connecting me with some pretty amazing people and reconnecting me with old friends!

Unfortunately, this is why I don't recommend planting before Memorial Day here in SE Michigan. Its May 20 and we have a risk of frost tonight. Cover up those tender summer plants if you've already got them in the ground!! ❄️🥶😤
