When a GC wants the absolute best in Residential Foundation waterproofing, here's what we do,

A) Spray Tuff N Dri H8
B) 2"R-10 Rigid Foam
C) Drainage Mat
which we properly fasten with molding termination on top, preventing any dirt falling in at the time of backfill.
Now this is what we would call the Ultimate in residential foundation waterproofing.

In this case, rat slab wasn’t as smooth as manufacturer’s requirements, like sharp rocks sticking out, etc. In order not to puncture the Preprufe 300 membrane to be installed on top, a protection board is laid out to provide a perfect surface, creating perfect conditions.
This protection board can potentially eliminate the use of a mud slab, and save money.
