🌱 Protecting Your Plants During Power Washing
You may hear that soaking plants before, during, and after power washing will always protect them—but it’s not that simple.
Dillon’s Take:
☀️ In extreme heat, excessive watering can stress or damage certain plants.
🔥 Covering plants with plastic or tarps can trap heat and cause them to overheat.
🧪 Cleaning chemicals must always be mixed, applied, and controlled responsibly.
💧 Rinsing vegetation helps, but high concentrations of sodium hypochlorite (SH) can still burn plants—even when they have been pre-wet.
Plant protection requires more than simply adding water. It takes proper chemical strength, careful application, controlled runoff, awareness of temperature, and continuous monitoring.
At Dillon’s Power Washing & Sealcoating, we believe professional cleaning means protecting the entire property—not just the surface being cleaned.
