Our Sister Company HODGE Engineering has begun offering services to Marinas to help avoid Electric Shock Drowning deaths.
Some of the services include:
Analyze existing grounding and ground-fault protection systems
Document established history and existing marina electrical power distribution schematic (One-Line Diagram).
Document existing branch electrical services and panel schedules; verifying sizes of services (Overcurrent Protection Devices OCPDs and load information if available); verify conductor sizing (current- and noncurrent-carrying).
Identify deficiencies in the installation of the power distribution and grounding systems.
Recommend action steps to correct any deficiencies for each service; dock power connections/receptacles, any perimeter lighting, landscape/building receptacles, etc.
Provide engineering proposal to produce engineered drawings for the marina power distribution and grounding systems to correct existing installation code deficiencies.
