Most homeowners walk their driveway, sidewalk, and front steps every day without giving them a second thought—until they become a problem.
While completing a full roof replacement for one of our clients, we noticed organic growth building up on their front steps. To help prevent the surface from becoming slippery during rainy weather, we took care of it for them.
While we were there, we also cleaned a small test patch on their sidewalk to demonstrate the difference. The contrast between the freshly cleaned concrete and the area stained by organic growth, dirt, and grime was remarkable.
What many people don't realize is that organic growth and accumulated dirt can become extremely slick when wet, creating a potential slip hazard. This is especially common on stone walkways, concrete surfaces, and steps.
Take a look around your property—when was the last time you really looked at your walkways, driveway, or front steps?
