Recent underground service and panel replacement. The existing main breaker, while in the off position, still allowed power to flow. To rectifie this a new main breaker panel was installed.Since the meter, which was well above 6’ and falling apart, I lowered the meter and added an emergency disconnection means to suffice code and to give this customer worry free electrical infrastructure.

The recent weekend's events provided a stark reminder that water always finds a way to enter, but thankfully, no substantial damage was sustained. After intense rainfall over the weekend, water invaded the meter enclosure and subsequently traced a path to the electrical panel, where I found water pooled on every single breaker. To aid in water removal, I tilted the breakers and employed compressed air specifically designed for electronics to eliminate any remaining moisture. A limited number of breakers refused to turn back on and have since been replaced. Additionally, the wiring inside the panel underwent a much-needed cleanup.

Today's project by Corey Stevens Electric transformed this closet into a dream space. I utilized 2” gimbal wafer recessed lighting and repurposed the existing lighting circuit in the ceiling. Notably, this circuit was already AFCI protected. Additionally, I installed these lights with a compatible dimmer switch, allowing the customer to start their day as desired.
