A hot topic for a hot week. ☀️

With summer in the South doing what it does best, our Lantern project team recently held a safety standdown focused on heat stress: how to recognize it, prevent it, and keep an eye out for each other when temperatures climb.

Then Incentive Drywall made it even better by treating everyone onsite to pizza afterward.

Another healthcare project complete! Novant Health Berewick is an 8,500 SF primary care clinic featuring bright interiors, modern finishes, and a clean, efficient layout.

Myers & Chapman completed the building shell and full interior build-out, including exam rooms, clinical support spaces, and administrative areas. The finished clinic brings together a clean, efficient layout with a fresh, welcoming environment for patients and staff in Charlotte’s growing Steele Creek area.

National Intern Day feels like the perfect time to look back on an incredible summer with our 2026 interns!

This summer, our interns took on new challenges, gained valuable experience, and made meaningful contributions across our teams. From hands-on learning in the field to presentations and team activities, they had the opportunity to experience the entire construction process, from preconstruction and estimating through the work taking shape in the field.

Thank you to each of our interns for the hard work, curiosity, and positive energy you brought to Myers & Chapman. We enjoyed having you as part of our team and cannot wait to see what comes next for each of you!

One of the best parts of preconstruction is watching a project take shape beyond the drawings and estimates.

Our preconstruction team recently spent an afternoon at the Lantern Hotel project in downtown Rock Hill to experience the construction progress firsthand. Regular site visits give our estimators the opportunity to connect their early planning and estimating efforts with the work happening in the field.

At Lantern Hotel, that meant walking the historic building as it transforms into a boutique hotel, with new guest rooms, dining and event spaces, and a speakeasy taking shape within the existing six-story structure.

It was a great opportunity to reconnect with the project, see the building’s next chapter coming to life, and spend time together as a team outside the office.

What a great few days at the 2026 NCAPCS Pearls of Wisdom Conference!

Derek Carpenter and Billie Graham enjoyed hearing from the conference’s speakers, taking part in thoughtful sessions, and connecting with so many people helping shape the future of North Carolina’s charter schools.

Building stronger communities doesn't always happen on a jobsite or in the office. Sometimes it starts with rolling up our sleeves, getting dirty, and seeing things from a different perspective.

Our team recently spent the morning volunteering at the PAR Garden at Anne Springs Close Greenway, harvesting fresh produce that will be donated to local food pantries.

Having previously constructed the Anne Springs Close Greenway Gateway Building, it was especially meaningful to return in a different capacity and support an organization that continues to make a lasting impact in so many ways.

Thank you to the Anne Springs Close Greenway team and everyone who makes the PAR Garden possible. We're grateful for the opportunity to lend a hand and support a program that provides fresh, locally grown produce to neighbors in need while helping strengthen our local community.

Progress continues at New City Church SouthPark as Buildings 2 and 3 come down to make way for the next phase of campus growth.

While demolition is often seen as the end of a chapter, it also marks the beginning of something new. These buildings are being removed to create space for a new 25,000-square-foot Worship Center that will expand opportunities for worship, gathering, and ministry for years to come.

Myers & Chapman is proud to partner with New City Church, LS3P, and Berkeley Consulting Group on this multi-phase campus expansion and renovation project. Through careful planning, phased construction, and ongoing coordination with church leadership, work continues to move forward while supporting the church's ongoing ministries, worship services, and campus activities.

We look forward to sharing additional progress as this exciting transformation continues.

One of the most exciting milestones in tilt-up construction is watching a project go vertical as the sun rises.

At Beacon Commerce Park Phase III in Garner, NC, crews have begun erecting the first tilt-up concrete panels, marking a major milestone for the project and bringing the building footprint to life. From site preparation and foundations to panel casting and crane operations, tilt-up construction requires extensive planning, coordination, and precision. It's always rewarding to see months of work culminate in the moment the structure begins to rise.

The completed development will include two speculative warehouse facilities totaling more than 293,000 square feet on a 36-acre greenfield site.

Great work by the entire project team and trade partners for their continued commitment to safety, quality, and progress.

We were proud to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new 25,000 SF academic building at Pine Lake Preparatory's growing campus in Mooresville.

The best part? Seeing the people behind the mission take center stage. Teachers joined in the groundbreaking and were recognized for the impact they make every day in shaping students and strengthening the school community. And to top it off, students wrapped up the year with some well-deserved ice cream.

This reminds us that this work is about more than buildings; it’s about creating environments where educators can do their best work, and the positive impact can be felt for years to come.
