garage storage makeover using the HDX Defender Line available at The Home Depot
We upgraded our storage bins using the HDX Defender Storage Totes. The previous dark bins we had
were great and aesthetically pleasing, but we found them not very practical. These clear bins offered
more visibility and is more practical for us for everyday use. They are great to store everyday gear but
also very durable for construction tools as well. Did we mention they are waterproof and dustproof as

renovating an abandoned 1950s home and we ran into MORE problems 😭

while adding the 1900 sq ft addition to the home, we found the original home was not perfectly level. it slopped slightly from right to left but over the entire length of the home - it’s a BIG difference, causing it to not line up with the new framing of new addition.

with older homes, they did not have the equipment we have now to make homes perfectly level. but NO worries! we were able to reset the old joists and fix the problem 😎👍🏽

No walls left but at least I’ll get my vaulted ceilings??? 😂

This abandoned home had 8ft ceilings, so the roof came off to raise the ceiling to 12ft 😳

this 1950s abandoned home originally had only 8ft ceilings 😳 we originally planned on extending the ceiling to 10ft but while we’re at it, we are kind of thinking 12?! what do you guys think?!

renovating an abandoned 1950s home!! did we make a mistake 😭 it was completed gutted without any walls, HVAC, electrical or plumbing. in a way we get to start with an empty canvas? 🫣

we are so excited to share this whole process with you all - both the good and bad!!
