The structural engineer is a contributing author to the recently published ASCE study titled “Portage, Michigan, Tornado of May 7, 2024, Post-Disaster Assessment: Building Performance Observations and Recommendations.” This report analyzes tornado impacts on code-designed structures and compares those effects to the requirements of ASCE/SEI 7-22.
