From the field to engineering support, United Utility Services had it covered following last weekend’s hurricane. Our Williams Electric crews and trucks were out restoring power along the storm’s track, while our UUPS underground crews worked hard in Pensacola. Our UUPS Engineering team also mobilized in Florida, ready to assist FPL with storm response efforts.

We’re proud of our teams for stepping up and keeping safety at the forefront as they helped bring the lights back on. This is what storm response looks like!

Recently, a group of our D&D Power linemen traded in their everyday tools for paintbrushes and spent the day giving back at Clear Path for Veterans. Our team rolled up their sleeves and worked together to help paint and refresh the facility, supporting an organization dedicated to serving veterans and their families. It was a great opportunity to bring the same teamwork, dedication, and hard work we see in the field every day into the community. We are proud of everyone who volunteered their time and represented D&D Power so well, and we thank ClearPath for Veterans for welcoming our crew and giving us the opportunity to contribute to their mission. Hats off to this AMAZING crew who ran this remote project out in the middle of Lake Michigan!

The Summit Underground Services team recently completed successful shore approaches on Beaver Island, Michigan (fun fact - Beaver Island is only accessible to travelers via 2-hour ferry ride or a small, local plane that makes shuttle runs!) - bringing underground infrastructure from land out beneath the waters of Lake Michigan. With the underground work complete, divers are now working on the lakebed to install the fl**ge and make the final connection.

From specialized underground construction on shore to coordination beneath the surface, this project is a great example of the challenging environments our crews are equipped to tackle.

When the work gets complicated, Summit Underground Services goes where others can’t.
