Job Description:
As a Sales Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for incoming sales inquiries. You will maintain and grow your own book of business, assisting your clients with their needs. Your essential duties will require you to use proper business etiquette to do the following:
• Assist sales team with daily operations.
• Answer inbound calls and direct them to the right person/department if necessary.
• Provide customers with industry knowledge and recommendations to meet their needs.
• Generate quotes, input orders, charge invoices, and pull/pack orders for shipping.
• Identify and generate new sales opportunities from internal and external sources to grow clientele.
• Build and maintain client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Provide remote technical support where necessary.
Key Competencies:
Required:
• Basic literacy and numeracy.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Sales and customer service skills.
• Positive attitude; a desire to work with and assist others, motivated to exceed expectations.
Preferred:
• Sales and/or customer service experience.
Preferred Education:
• High School Diploma/GED or higher.
COVID-19 Considerations:
This position cannot be performed remotely; however the store enforces a firm mask-wearing policy. You will be entitled to your own desk space, distanced from other employees, with sanitization products, free masks, and a thermal scanner for temperature monitoring available for your comfort and convenience. Additionally, scheduling is flexible, allowing for employees to take time off when necessary should illness or fears of exposure arise.
