Backflow assemblies are an important part of a plumbing system because they help protect the potable water supply from contamination. When a backflow connection is no longer needed, it still needs to be properly disconnected and capped to keep the system secure and leak-free.

Today’s challenge: get it capped correctly before Mother Nature shuts down the jobsite! 😂

🚽 A toilet is only as good as the drain beneath it.

This toilet had an improperly installed fl**ge inside a 3-inch drain pipe, reducing the opening to only 1.75 inches. That restriction made it much harder for waste and toilet paper to pass through, leading to poor flushing and an increased risk of recurring clogs.

A properly installed toilet fl**ge should never restrict the drain opening. Small installation mistakes like this can cause years of frustrating plumbing problems.

If your toilet flushes poorly or clogs frequently, the issue may be hidden below the toilet—not the toilet itself.
