💧🔧 What does it take to replace a home’s main water service line?
Your water service main is the connection that carries water from the meter to your home. When replacement is needed, proper installation is important for dependable water delivery and future serviceability.
For this project, Winn’s Plumbing installed a new ¾-inch PEX water service main from the water meter to the home, routing the new line through the existing 2-inch sleeve. We also installed a new ball valve in the crawlspace and sealed the wall pe*******on around the new piping. ✅
A tee was installed near the water meter so the irrigation contractor can reconnect the irrigation system after completing the necessary repairs.
💡 Homeowner Tip: If you notice unexplained wet areas in your yard, reduced water pressure, or signs of a leaking underground water line, your water service main may need to be inspected.
From excavation to the final connection, the goal is a reliable water supply and plumbing system that’s easier to service in the future.

🛁💧 A leaking bathtub drain can cause damage far beyond the tub itself.
For this upstairs hall bathroom, Winn’s Plumbing found a leaking tub waste and overflow assembly that needed replacement. To properly reach the plumbing, our team accessed the piping through the ceiling below and completed the necessary repairs. 🔧
The existing waste and overflow were removed and replaced with a new waste and overflow kit and P-trap, integrated into the existing plumbing system. We also installed a new overflow trim plate and drain stopper to match the existing chrome finish.
Once everything was connected, the system was tested to make sure the tub was draining properly and the repaired connections were leak-free. ✅
💡 Homeowner Tip: Water stains, damp ceilings, or dripping below an upstairs bathtub may point to a leaking drain, overflow connection, or P-trap. Addressing the source early can help prevent additional water damage.

🚨 Slow drains or backups throughout your home? The problem could be in the main drain line.
For this home, Winn’s Plumbing confirmed a mainline clog and performed a Level 3 exterior drain cleaning to get things flowing again. 🔧💧
Using specialized drain-cleaning equipment through the exterior access point, our team cleared the blockage and restored proper drainage.
💡 Homeowner Tip: If several drains are slow at the same time, toilets are gurgling, or water is backing up in lower fixtures, the issue may be farther down the main drain line rather than at a single sink or toilet.
Finding the actual source of the blockage helps determine the right solution instead of repeatedly treating the symptoms.
At Winn’s Plumbing, a good plumbing repair starts with a good diagnosis. ✅

🔥💧 Is it time to replace your water heater? A proper installation is about more than just the tank.
For this project, Winn’s Plumbing installed a new Rheem Performance 50-gallon natural gas direct-vent water heater in the garage, complete with the necessary venting and a thermal expansion tank.
The home’s water pressure was also checked to make sure the plumbing system was operating within the proper range. A new whole-house main water shutoff was installed in the garage, giving the homeowner a convenient way to shut off the home’s water supply when needed. 🔧✅
💡 Homeowner Tip: Your water heater, expansion tank, water pressure, venting, and shutoff valves all work together as part of the plumbing system. Proper installation and testing help support reliable operation and protect plumbing components throughout the home.
From water heater replacement to whole-house plumbing upgrades, Winn’s Plumbing focuses on getting the details right from installation to final testing.

🔥💧 No hot water? Sometimes the problem is inside the water heater’s control system.
For this attic water heater repair, Winn’s Plumbing replaced the thermopile assembly and gas control valve using manufacturer-direct OEM parts supplied by the homeowner.
After the existing water heater was drained, the components were replaced and the system was put back into operation. The unit was then refilled, relit, and tested to confirm proper temperature and functionality. ✅
💡 Homeowner Tip: If a gas water heater won’t stay lit, isn’t producing hot water, or is operating inconsistently, components such as the thermopile or gas control valve may need professional diagnosis. The right repair starts with identifying the actual cause before replacing parts.
Reliable hot water depends on more than the tank—proper controls and safety components matter, too. 🔥🚿

🚽🔧 Is your toilet running, flushing poorly, or just not working like it should?
Sometimes the problem isn’t the entire toilet—it’s the components inside the tank. For this project, Winn’s Plumbing serviced the master bathroom toilet and addressed the parts affecting proper operation.
The toilet seat had come loose from the plastic hinge, but it was successfully secured without needing replacement. The flush handle connection had also come loose from the Mansfield flush tower, so the connection was repaired and the toilet was tested to confirm it was flushing properly. ✅
When needed, a complete toilet tank rebuild can include components such as the fill valve, flush valve, flapper, tank-to-bowl hardware, handle, and supply line to restore reliable operation.
💡 Homeowner Tip: If your toilet runs continuously, has trouble flushing, takes too long to refill, or requires you to jiggle the handle, the problem may be inside the tank. Addressing worn or disconnected components early can help prevent wasted water and further issues.
A good repair starts with identifying what actually needs attention—not replacing parts unnecessarily. 💧

💧🏡 An underground water leak isn’t always easy to find—but finding the source is the first step toward the right repair.

For this home, Winn’s Plumbing performed excavation and leak location to identify a leak in the main water service line. Once the damaged section was exposed, our team repaired the water line and restored the home’s water service. 🔧

We also installed a new pressure reducing valve (PRV) and ball valve in the crawlspace, then adjusted the home’s water pressure to slightly above 70 PSI.

💡 Homeowner Tip: Unexplained increases in your water bill, wet or unusually soft areas in the yard, reduced water pressure, or a water meter that continues moving when fixtures are off can be signs of a hidden water service line leak.

Proper water pressure matters, too. A PRV helps regulate incoming pressure to protect your home’s pipes, fixtures, and plumbing connections.

From locating the underground leak to repairing the service line and regulating the home’s water pressure, Winn’s Plumbing focused on solving the problem at its source. 💧✅
