What a great day of networking and building meaningful connections at the CLTivate Community Event!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by the ZEN table to learn more about our mission, programs, and opportunities to get involved! We loved sharing how ZEN is making a difference in our community. 🌿

A special shoutout to our intern, Isaiah, who gained valuable hands-on experience connecting with community members, sharing ZEN's mission, discussing his role within the organization, and highlighting the importance of volunteers in helping us grow our impact.

At ZEN, we believe in more than growing fresh food. We're growing relationships, developing future leaders, and creating opportunities for people to serve with purpose! 💚

Last Sunday we gathered to celebrate ZEN, and every person who dedicates their time, effort and talent to help us continue to grow year after year.

Last Sunday, we came together to celebrate ZEN and the incredible people who pour their time, energy, and talents into helping this organization grow year after year. 💚

It’s inspiring to reflect on just how far we’ve come. From launching Mobile Markets to acquiring our Mobile Market bus, from cooking demonstrations to bringing power to our outdoor kitchen, and from growing hundreds of pounds of fresh produce in our community garden to expanding initiatives that nourish, educate, and empower our community—the impact is growing, and the work is happening! 🌱

But behind every milestone is a community of people who believe in this mission. And to keep this work growing, we need continued investment and support.

To every sponsor, community partner, company, and individual who gives their time, resources, and financial support to ZEN: thank you. Your generosity helps turn our vision into action and makes this work possible.

🌱💚 OUR TITANS HAVE BEEN PUTTING IN THE WORK! 💪🏾🌿

For the past three weeks, our Empower Our students have been working SOOOOO hard to get their school garden back looking right and we couldn’t be more proud of them! 🙌🏾

They’ve rolled up their sleeves and gotten their hands dirty:

🌿 Explored the outdoor garden spaces
🏡 Cleaned and reorganized the greenhouse so we can make better use of it
🪴 Cleaned out ALL of the garden beds
🌱 Refreshed the soil and prepared the beds for a new season
🥬 Planted fall transplants and seeds
🗑️ Picked up trash and helped beautify the entire garden area
💪🏾 Worked together to bring THEIR garden back to life!

And yes…we still have some work to do! 😂 But what has impressed us most isn’t just how much they accomplished. It’s the PRIDE they take in their garden and their school.

That’s what Empower Our is all about. 💚

We’re not simply teaching students how to grow food. We’re teaching them responsibility, teamwork, environmental stewardship, patience, and what it means to take ownership of the spaces around them.

When young people are given something meaningful to care for, they rise to the occasion. 🌱

Titans, LOOK at what you’ve accomplished in just three weeks! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Now…let’s keep growing! 🌿🥕🥬

Bring the kiddos, stop by the ZEN table, and hang out with us! We’re excited to share our propagation station fun while helping young people discover how exciting it can be to grow something of their own. 🌱✨
