Here are some of the reasons why we had to replace this panel and meter:
Reason #1: The meter cover had been broken for over a year.
Reason #2: Water had come into contact with the circuit breakers, the panel's internal components, and the wiring.
Reason #3: The conduit rising from the meter to the utility lines was 2-inch PVC; we replaced it with 2-inch rigid metal conduit secured by four clamps.
Reason #4: The old system utilized only a single copper ground rod connected to the panel's ground terminal. We installed two new ground rods—driven to a depth of 10 feet and spaced at least 6 feet apart—connected via a #6 copper wire.
The entire installation passed inspection by the city; we obtained all necessary permits and were able to successfully complete this project.
Unos de los motivos por el cual tuvimos que cambiar este panel y medidor.
Numero 1 el cobertor del medidor estaba roto hace mas de 1 año
Numero 2 el agua entro en contacto con los breakers, el sistema interno del panel y cables.
Numero 3 el tuvo que sube del medidor para los cables de la ciudad era de 2" pvc y nosotros instalamos uno de metal rigid de 2" con 4 abrasaderas
Numero 4 el sistema antiguo solo tenia 1 barra de cobre conectada con la tierra del panel. Nosotros instalamos 2 nuevas barras de 10' de profundidad con un minimo de 6' de separacion conectada con un cable de cobre n°6
Todo paso inspeccion por la ciudad, sacamos permisos y pudimos realizar este proyecto.
