For a bit of history! This old store was in 1945 by my father by hand! He was drafted into the military in 1942 made $50 a month and sent $25 back home to his mother to help the family! When he returned from overseas his mother handed him all the money he sent home in a shoe box! He bought this land n built this store in Greelyville SC! In those days if you were not from a prominent family no one would help you! He couldn't get gas pumps or any assistance! He sold it and went back into the military where he retired then went in the real estate business and was very successful in Sumter!
