Adaptive reuse continues to shape the future of downtown, and GDA is proud to be part of another exciting transformation.
This historic building—once home to a Christian bookstore with boarding rooms for nuns on the second and third floors—is being redeveloped into a dynamic mixed-use property featuring a new retail space at street level and ten boutique hotel/short-term rental units above.
GDA designed the upper-floor hospitality spaces and developed exterior improvements carefully aligned with the building’s existing historic character. The project completed the BAR staff review process and continues to move toward completion.
The retail portion is now open, while construction on the upper-level accommodations is nearing completion, with the hotel expected to welcome guests in August 2026.
Boutique hospitality projects remain a strong focus for GDA, with another King Street hotel project in the planning stage already underway nearby. More to come soon.
