🌟 Chastain Construction is always up for a challenge! 🌟

At 652 Coleman Blvd, we’ve managed a carefully phased “musical chairs” of tenant relocations to support future expansion within the building.

We coordinated the relocation of Premier Eye Care, P.A. to unlock the next phase of construction. That move allowed Buist Byars & Taylor, LLC to complete their new office upfit. The space now features upgraded finishes, new ceilings, flooring, glass systems, and conference rooms filled with natural light. ☀️

The front desk area turned out beautifully, and the transom windows help open up the entire space. The new tenants are going to love their new office!

🚧 At Chastain Construction, safety is more than a checklist, it’s part of our culture and how we operate every day in the field. Our monthly safety meeting coincided with Construction Safety Week, and we discussed a growing job site hazard: phone distractions. 🚧

On a construction site, even a few seconds of distraction can make the difference between a close call and a serious injury. We talked through the risks of texting while walking, using phones near active equipment, and how earbuds and noise-canceling headphones reduce situational awareness and prevent workers from hearing critical warnings on site.

🦺 Construction Safety Week only lasts a week, but we stay focused on safety all year - by planning carefully, communicating, watching out for each other, and making sure everyone gets home safely.

Chastain Construction just wrapped up our latest project in Mount Pleasant: Burn Boot Camp 🏋️‍♀️

Located in Sweetgrass Corner by the IOP Connector, this 3,255 sq ft renovation included everything from demolition to new walls, ceilings, flooring, and so much more. We love how the space turned out and can’t wait for Burn Boot Camp members to break a sweat in their new home alongside other amazing Mt. Pleasant businesses!

🚧Chastain Construction has been hard at work building a retaining wall at MUSC, focusing on accuracy throughout the project—from the first stages of excavation to completion. 🚧

⭐️ Project Highlights ⭐️

Foundation First: We excavated and poured a new cast-in-place concrete footing to provide a solid structural base.

Masonry Construction: Our team built out the block wall, ensuring every cell was grout-filled and reinforced with vertical rebar according to the structural design.

Bond Beams: We installed bond beams to tie the entire structure together.

Backfill & Strength: We carefully backfilled the area between our new masonry and the existing wall to ensure site stability.

Final Clean-up: After the heavy lifting was done, we handled all debris removal and demobilized, leaving the site clean and ready for landscaping.
