Construction is continuing on Building 5A & 5B in Downtown Nexton. This 5-story mixed-use/multifamily development adds 135,000 SF of urban-inspired living with luxury one & two-bedroom loft-style apartments, and over 27,000 SF of ground-floor retail and restaurant space.

Building 5A is making strong progress, with brick and siding complete and exterior painting now underway. Inside, drywall has been primed while installation of doors and trim continues. Cabinetry has been installed, and countertops are underway, setting the stage for backsplash installation next. Major systems—MEP, fire sprinkler, and HVAC—are ready for trim-out, while shower and tub tile work continues throughout the residential units. Up next, first-floor storefront installation will be kicking off soon.

Over in Building 5B, brickwork is finished, and siding is currently in progress. Additionally, all major system rough-ins have been successfully completed, keeping the building on track for the next phase.

Early collaboration can transform a project, and at Parish Church at Habersham, it made all the difference.

During conceptual design, the congregation envisioned a prominent bell tower as both a visual landmark and a symbolic centerpiece for the new sanctuary. To bring that vision to life, we introduced an immersive approach, sharing an audio recording of a potential bell so stakeholders could experience its tone and character firsthand.

This sparked a deeper emotional connection and helped guide the design in a meaningful way. The result: a carefully sourced and restored 1857 Naylors & Vickers steel bell, given new life and purpose within the community.

At Hill, early involvement isn’t just a step; it’s how we build the partnerships and solutions that make projects truly resonate.
