Something a little different I knocked out here recently. So what we have here are 70 panels at 390w each coming out to 27.3 DC with 20 KW AC coupled. 2 Solis 11.4kw inverters at the array connecting into 2 Sol ark 18ks in parallel. I also have 12 SOK 5.12kw batteries. With that being said I also have 2 manual bypass switches installed. I can also shunt the home in a grid down situation. We have lost power multiple times now where the house just doesn't even notice and it just runs smoothly. Since I have not saturated the DC side I can add another array as well to add more solar if I please. Looking at doing a lean to on the side of the garage and mounting all of it. Also I can knock down 140-160kw a day with this system. I also have 2 Tesla's that can consume 24-45kw alone I had a good time welding and cutting railing up as well. Things I would do differently. I would not AC coupled it. I would have just ran the wires and DC connected it. Outside of that.....nothing....I learned a lot of wiring techniques I didn't really want to learn as well. Haha.

I still stink at TIG but this is better. Also thank you to all of you out there that have shot me messages and tips and tricks for things I need to do. I really appreciate it and I mean it.

The absolute biggest take away is practice practice practice and then practice some more. To which I am doing. Every time I have small drops off the laser I'm immediately pulling it off and playing with it.

Picked up a little tungenston grinder as well which has been a nice addition.

I absolutely love this PAPR and today I think it bit the dust.

I will literally not weld/cut/grind/sweep the floor without wearing this thing. If you do not own some type of respiratory protection do yourself a favor and buy some.

I have had it 2 years and like 4 months. Shot optrel my proof of purchase today and hopefully I will have it in the mail to them tomorrow to get this thing fixed.

Have any of you out there had any issues? For those of you that have done the service on them was it expensive?

Blows my mind how much things cost these days and to have an arm rest just fall apart due to literally no fusion on a weld is impressive. The last photo shows how it just didn't fuse to the actual pipe at all. After some fitment and some second glances it's back in service now thankfully.

Really fun project where a storm ripped off the door on their outdoor grill. Kudos to whoever built this thing cause they did a fantastic job. Only a handful of items on this were 1/8 whenever most of it was either 3/16 or 1/4 carbon steel. The HTP 220MTS did a fantastic job welding it up just wish I wouldn't have put that 30+ lb spool of wire in it.

The best part of the job was the customer. Very realistic people whenever we talked through all of the options ideas and vision for this and were really open to trying things on it. The kind of customer that whenever they call or msg me I am genuinely interested in what they have going on. Also their back yard is a really nice oasis they have made.

2kw max photonics just chewing through some 1/4 carbon steel.

Ever bought something that you don't really know how to use?

With that being said let's welcome the HTP America USAWELD.COM HTP Invertig 313 to the fleet everyone! Not only do I not know how to use it but I am really diving deep into the YouTube rabbit holes of videos and such.

If you have a video you love that helped you out please shoot it to me. So far I am really good at making sure the filler rod gets stuck to the tungenston tip. Really nailing that "skill".

Questions I have for the masses.
1. How do you sharpen your tungenston?
2. What's your favorite material to tig?
3. Did you "pick it right up" or did it take a minute?
4. Favorite cup size? Mine used to be a C/D now I am learning towards Furick/Jazzy variants.
