Every Homeowner Should Hear This Termite Story

Termites got under a Scottsdale homeowner’s hardwood floors and ate through about $150,000 of it before she knew they were there. The EPA says termites cause billions of dollars in damage every year, and most people don’t know they have them until they see a swarm or find damage. Our tech Caleb still wishes she had called us sooner.

DM us or call (480) 550-9220 to get a termite inspection on the calendar.

How to Tell You Picked the Right Pest Control

Watch what happens before they ever knock. Our tech gave this client a 15 minute call on the way over, and that call is what made it into a 5 star review. They have used us since moving to Arizona in 2021, at two different homes, so yes, we read every word of it out loud.

Check This Before You Pay for Termite Treatment

Search your address at tarf.azda.gov. Arizona keeps the last 5 years of termite reports there. A builder pretreat from the last 3 years may qualify for free retreatment of subterranean termites, with exceptions for a disturbed barrier or a visit that finds no termite evidence. Check the treatment date before booking.

A tuna can with a little oil catches earwigs, and soapy water on an ant trail wipes out the scent the rest of them follow.

4 Termite Signs Every Homeowner Should Know

That chewed out patio pillar is only one of 4 examples. Damaged deck boards, hollowed wood posts, and even tiny holes in the ceiling deserve a closer look. Termites often stay hidden inside the wood they’re eating, so you may find the damage before you ever see a bug.

Destroying Bugs Isn’t Even My Real Job

I figured that out on one ant call.

Ants were on his trees, his windows, but even his chairs. I did the treatment, and the whole time I kept wondering how anybody lets their home get that far.

Then he walked out to meet me, and I never could have seen it coming.

Some people are fighting battles you cannot see from the driveway. Killing the bugs is the part I was trained for. Giving someone a little peace at home, so they can put everything they have into the fight that matters, is the part I will never forget.

Why Termites Still Survive Treatment

Your sprinkler system could be the reason. Leave it running after treatment and the water can dilute the product and save the termites.
Termidor HE is a non repellent, so termites can’t detect it. They walk through it and carry it back to the colony, queen included.

Amazon Packages Just Got Dangerous

Bed bugs can hide in cardboard and hitchhike with belongings.
Before unpacking, check the box and its contents for signs of pests. Open deliveries outside when practical, and avoid letting empty boxes pile up indoors.

Beware of the Most Dangerous Termite Myth.

A mud tube on your wall can help a technician trace subterranean termite activity.
Scraping it away does not treat the colony. Take a clear photo and leave the area undisturbed until it can be inspected.
