✨Initial Renders✨

I thought it would be fun to share a little "behind the scenes" with you all today...

Here is a screen shot of the initial renders for a basement finish we're quoting in Mounds View. This house was built in 1987, and the original owners roughed in a bathroom and made a space for a very functional bedroom and living room.

This is one of my (Kristen's) favorite parts of my job - visiting an unfinished space and then bringing it back into Chief Architect to see what could be 🥰

This has to be one of our favorite bathroom transformations to date - simply because we took something so dark, so awkward, and so pieced together and not only made it bright, larger, and 10x more functional, but we also created a bunch of useable space for their main basement living area.

We adore these kinds of projects. The "puzzles" that just need a little solving. 😍

We are excited to showcase the ✨ Anoka Bathroom Project Reveal! ✨

This was a full-gut project with a few specific goals...

1. Get rid of surface mold and check for any underlying issues.
2. Install a tub deep enough for soaking.
3. Update EVERYTHING

The first issue of mold was a big concern, and one we never take lightly. Fortunately, everything here was only on the surface. Once we opened up the walls and tore out the old shower and tub, things were dry and clean exactly like they should be. This bathroom was outdated and well loved, and they were very fortunate that the mold and moisture issues were only limited to the surface. We safely removed all of the fixtures, finishes and drywall down to the studs so we had a clean and safe starting point to rebuild their brand new space. We also installed an exhaust fan system so that these issues won't come up again in the future.

The tub was a little bit of a challenge. The old blue tub was only 28" wide and that was all the space we had to work with. There aren't a whole lot of soaker tub options out there at that width. Thankfully, we found one on Ferguson.com that fit the bill - all we needed to do was order a white Onyx panel to create a custom face. It looks like they were sold as a set!

We finished out the space with Mocha trim, a custom vanity to fit that small space, as well as an Onyx shower system and matching vanity top.

This project was not only a stunning transformation, but we had so much fun with Jeremy, Molly, and their family. We absolutely love the clients we get to work with!

✨ Project Reveal! ✨

Our clients in Ramsey wanted to accomplish a few specific goals for their remodel...

1. Make their bathroom accessible for guests, so they don't have to go through the bedroom to get there.
2. A bigger vanity - the pedestal sink just wasn't working.
3. Keep their heated floors - for a basement bathroom, that's a big plus in the winter!
4. Make the space beautiful 😍

We loved working with Shelley and Jason (and Norman! 🐾). This was a project for the memory books 🥰
