A couple of things, I’ve always been intrigued with the thought of hunting monster whitetail bucks in Iowa or Missouri. This past Thursday, I blew a hydraulic ram on the scraper, repairable but not in a timely manner. The only ram I can find is in Pine Bluff Arkansas, ground freight I may have it in a week, air freight maybe Monday ? Hell it’s only a 16 hour ride to Arkansas, I’ll be back Friday night or Saturday morning at the latest, easy peasy right ? Didn’t factor in the monster Missouri whitetail that charged across I 49 around midnight somewhere south Kansas City near a little town by the
name of Nevada (pronounced Ne-vay-da). My tires squealed for a split second, when I was met with a loud crash and explosion, I thought he came through the windshield, the drivers side airbag deployed. I’ve never experienced that before, s**t gets real when that goes off. The deer and the pickup did not survive, the contractor was unharmed on his easy peasy trip to Arkansas!
