Update 2 from East Islip. Stucco prep is nearly finished and the finish coat starts next week, which means the exterior of this waterfront residence is about to change for good. The roof is shingled, and down at the water the new dock is complete, so this home now has its front door and its back door to the bay.
Inside, the work you never see is going in.
Ductwork is being run through the framing, rough electrical is being pulled, and the main staircase is up. In the backyard, the cabana roof is sheathed, one step closer to the pool, whirlpool bath, pergola, and patio that will anchor the outdoor living space.
This is the phase where a build is won or lost, because everything behind the walls has to be right before a single finish goes on. One team owns every decision, from mechanicals to millwork. That is design-build at Cascella & Sons, and it is how we have built on Long Island since 1987.
