Another big step forward on the Baker Build! 👏

The retaining walls are poured, backfill is in, and the building pad is officially leveled up and ready for footings!

A lot of material moved and a lot of work went into getting this site to this point. It’s exciting to see everything starting to take shape, and we’re looking forward to watching this one come out of the ground!

Stay tuned — plenty more to come! 💪

At the end of 2025, we officially celebrated 10 years in business! 🎉

We’ve been so busy since then that we almost forgot to post about it… 😅 But this milestone is way too important to let slip by.

When Haslag Landscape & Design started 10 years ago, we had no idea exactly where the journey would take us. There have been long days, plenty of lessons learned, a lot of growth, and more great projects than we could ever count.

But none of it would have been possible without you.

To our customers who continue to trust us, our employees who show up and work hard every day, our families who support us behind the scenes, and everyone who has shared our name or recommended us over the years — thank you.

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built over the last decade, and even more thankful for the people who helped us build it.

10 years down… and there’s a whole lot more coming. 👀

We can’t wait to show you what’s next.

Thank you, Mid-Missouri! ❤️

Another one taking shape! 👏

This project was all about creating more usable outdoor space while working with the existing elevation of the property.

The far retaining wall was already in place, so our crew poured a new concrete cap to give it a clean, finished look. From there, we poured a new retaining wall to elevate and support the expanded patio area, followed by a new concrete patio that gives the homeowners plenty of additional usable space.

We also added a lower concrete pad with drainage to help properly manage water around the lower level.

The homeowner will be taking it from here with the final grading and yard work, which will really tie everything together once complete.

A lot of forming, concrete, and attention to detail went into bringing all the different elevations together. Proud of the guys and how this one turned out! 👏

Next time you’re out at Shirk’s Country Market, be sure to check out something new while you’re there!

Our good friends at Shirk’s now have a Haslag Landscape & Design pavilion and pergola on display, so you can see firsthand what one of these could look like in your own backyard.

And while you’re there, take a look around the store — they have plenty of great stuff, and we think some of that Shirk’s outdoor furniture would look awfully good underneath one of these! 😉

We’re always thankful for opportunities to work alongside and support other locally owned businesses in our community. A big thank you to the Shirk’s crew for giving us a place to show off a little of what we do!

So stop by, say hello, check out the displays, and do a little shopping while you’re there. If a new pavilion or pergola gets you thinking about your own backyard, give us a call and let’s start putting some ideas together!

Phase One is officially underway on what is going to be an awesome project and a true statement piece for this home!

There’s a lot of work going into this one, and I couldn’t be more proud of our guys and the hard work they’re putting in to make it happen. 💪

We’re just getting started—stay tuned as this one comes together! 👀🏡

Another backyard made more functional! 🙌

For this project, we installed an elevated concrete sidewalk to create better access and make this sloped backyard much more usable. We also poured a new set of concrete steps to provide a clean transition from the upper level down into the yard.

The new sidewalk created a defined planting bed along the home, giving the homeowners a great space for future landscaping.

Once the concrete work was complete, we finished everything off with final grading and hydroseed to get the lawn growing back in.

A great transformation that adds both function and curb appeal!
