Installed a couple of yard drains at Diamond DirtWorx Solutions HQ recently!

We had cut a swale in last year to help divert surface water from the garage foundation walls, but when a heavy rain event would take place it was cutting a deep rut in the swale. So we decided to install a couple of yard drains to assist with diverting the surface runoff water down into the underground 6” drainage tile that drains into the woods. We then built up berms around the two drains to direct the water into the inlets, spread some new topsoil, then graded everything out smooth, then seeded the area and put down straw blanket and straw to help the grass establish and slow erosion. Looking forward to seeing the grass take root and establish hopefully before cold weather arrives.

Gutter Drainage and French Drain Project we completed recently.

This home owner did not have any underground drains for gutter downspouts to tie into on their home and when a heavy rain event took place they had issues with their yard washing and water ponding. So we installed 8 downspout connections and trenched in 6” solid tile with a surface emitter at the downhill end of their yard near the road where there was an existing catch basin to assist with their issues.

We then installed 2 yard drains with a swale around them to direct water towards each drain, and used slotted tile to pull some of the ground water to assist with water ponding in their yard and a second surface emitter.

Landscaping Project we recently completed for a repeat client.

We trimmed back some limbs that we could reach with the pole saw that were leaning against the house/roof, then we prepped the area for fabric, edging, and installed river rock to spruce up the front of their home.

We recently fixed up this repeat clients driveway that had some eroding along the edge of the steep driveway from the heavy rains we have had. We worked up the driveway, leveled out the erosion channels, raked in the rock that had washed into the grass, then put down a load of road pack to finish this one out.
