🚨 What NOT to Build Over Your Septic System 🚨

We get it. That new shed would look perfect there. The hot tub is calling your name. The deck expansion seems like a great idea. But before you start your next backyard project, make sure you know where your septic system is!

Your septic system needs room to breathe, drain, and most importantly, be accessible when maintenance or repairs are needed. Building over it can lead to:

❌ Sheds and garages
❌ Decks and patios
❌ Driveways and parking areas
❌ Pools and hot tubs
❌ Large trees and deep-rooted landscaping

These projects can crush pipes, damage tanks, block access, and turn a simple repair into a very expensive excavation project. Trust me, nobody wants to pay for a brand-new patio twice because we have to dig it up to get to the septic tank. 😬

At Turner Septic, we see the results of shortcuts all the time. That’s why it’s so important to work with professionals who don’t cut corners. A proper septic inspection doesn’t stop at the tank lid. It means understanding the entire system, identifying potential problems, and helping homeowners make informed decisions before they invest thousands into a project.

💩 Before you build it, plant it, park it, or place it… locate your septic system first.

Because protecting your septic system today protects your investment tomorrow.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, stepdads, grandfathers, bonus dads, and father figures who show up every single day.
To the dads teaching their kids how to work hard, fix what’s broken, throw a ball, drive a truck, bait a hook, change a tire, and keep moving forward even when life gets messy… today is for you.
A special shoutout to the fathers who spend long days away from home, working hard to provide for their families. The early mornings, late nights, sore backs, and missed dinners don’t go unnoticed. Your family sees it, and they love you for it.
And to my own husband, thank you for being an incredible father, role model, and partner through all of life’s adventures. We couldn’t do this crazy ride without you.
Wishing all the dads out there a day filled with family, laughter, good food, and maybe a little peace and quiet.
Happy Father’s Day! 💙

NO WORRIES! 😉 We got you and your 💩

🚨 NO WORRIES… Ben is NOT getting into your septic tank! 🚨

Although judging by this photo, it might look like he’s one bad decision away from becoming part of the inspection report. 😆💪

What he’s actually doing is uncovering an access that probably hasn’t seen daylight since bell-bottoms were in style.

Believe it or not, we still find septic tanks from the 1970s that have never been pumped, inspected, or even accessed. Over the years, homes change hands, families grow, water usage increases, and these old systems are asked to do a whole lot more than they were originally designed for.

The result? 🚽
💩 Backups
💩 Slow drains
💩 Failed components
💩 Expensive repairs that could have been prevented

Your septic system might be out of sight, but it shouldn’t be out of mind.

If your tank hasn’t been pumped in years, or you’re not sure where it even is, now is the perfect time to get it checked out before a small issue turns into a backyard catastrophe.

No one puts the pumper princess 👑 in the corner!! septic needs‼️‼️ it’s got you covered

They met by chance.

They bonded over buried tank lids.

They fell in love somewhere between the third service call and a muddy job site.

Nobody puts septic in a corner.

🎥 Friday Afternoon Field Report from the Pumper Princess

I’m doing the best I can in life with food, alcohol, sarcasm… and these ridiculously expensive, occasionally temperamental, definitely-not-magical inspection tools. 🍕🍺😏

While most people are figuring out what they’re doing this weekend, I’m out here with cameras, locators, and enough technology to make a septic system spill all its secrets.

“Why is my septic backing up?”
“Where does this pipe go?”
“Is my system healthy?”

Don’t worry. Me and my trusty collection of 💩 detective gadgets are on the case. 🔍💩

It’s Friday afternoon, the caffeine is wearing off, the sarcasm is kicking in, and somehow we’re still out here figuring out exactly how your septic system is (or isn’t) working.

Blue collar baddie mode: ACTIVATED. 💪👑🚽 **p

🎶 Y’all gonna make me lose my mind… up in here, up in here! 🎶

Another Friday as a blue collar baddie and the septic circus is in full swing. 🤪💩

The phones are ringing, trucks are rolling, inspections are stacking up, someone can’t find their septic tank, someone else swears they pumped it “not that long ago” (it was 2018), and I’m over here trying to keep all the 💩 moving in the right direction.

But that’s life when you’re the Pumper Princess. 👑🚛

While everyone else is counting down to happy hour, we’re counting tanks, filters, baffles, and gallons. One more push before the weekend, because septic problems don’t care what day it is!

Happy Friday from your favorite blue collar baddie. Stay safe, stay hydrated, and if your septic system starts acting up… don’t make me come lose my mind up in here. 😂💛🖤
