Ash #92 of 2026 was definitely a full days work. Steep hill with a million acorns, wonky stem, 2 sheds below, and 30 MPH winds - whew! It was a gorgeous day for October though!

What a spectacular day to be working trees!

For your evening scrolling, behold - Ash #91 of 2026. This was a fairly simple drop up a hill. Jay dropped a few limbs to avoid hitting other trees & to better distribute the weight. We hauled out material, cleaned up & headed out 🙌

It’s a gorgeous, sunny & crisp day to be dropping some dead trees, and opening up the view for our customers!

Well, the climbing saddle is on the table again this year. Clark wants to start climbing and trimming trees with me, and honestly, that means more to me than just buying another piece of equipment.

I’ve been thinking about getting myself a new saddle and giving him my current one. At the same time, I know he’d probably be better off starting out in a newer saddle that fits him well and gives him room to grow.

I guess I’m just dragging my feet a little. I know he’s going to grow over the winter, and I really like the way I have my current rig set up. It works, it’s comfortable, and I know exactly what I’m doing with it.

But there’s also something pretty cool about realizing that the gear I’ve spent years working in might soon be the gear my son learns in. Maybe that’s worth changing things up a little.

This video is from 2024. He has really grown up working with me.

Ash tree number 90 of 2026—and what a big one! This 32-inch DBH tree had multiple stems. Wish the kids were out of school to help us tackle this one! Other than rain, humidity, and a little breeze everything went as it should.

Moving ahead with the potential wrap! I’m still not sure whether we need the number on the side if it’s already on the back. I’m drawn to the new climber image, but I also love our traditional logo. What do you think?

We are still here! Life has been like an action packed movie since we took vacation in August, and with school/sports starting back up😬

Take a look at this job - 2 super dead Red Pines & 2 medium dead Ash ( #88 & #89 ) seeing as how this was a drop and leave on site, we think the pool robot cleaner worked way harder than we did. That thing was in full on work mode to suck up the saw dust 🤖

We tackled this fluffy Elm today! We are thankful for the gorgeous weather, good roping, and a nice drop zone.
