Roofs aren't the only things that take a beating when a hailstorm rolls in. When Mother Nature starts throwing ice from the sky, she doesn't discriminate.

These two vehicles were caught right in the middle of it. Fortunately, the hail where we were was relatively minor, but not everyone was so lucky. We've already heard reports of much larger hail and significant damage in other parts of the area.

Hailstorms don't take prisoners.

Hail from one of our team members' homes in The Pinery this afternoon. While the storm brought some much-needed moisture to the area, we've received reports that some neighborhoods just north of us experienced significantly larger hail.

If you were in the storm's path, it may be worth taking a few minutes to inspect your roof, gutters, siding, and vehicles for possible damage. Stay safe out there, Colorado!

Also, gotta give a quick shoutout to Mountain Wave Weather for the heads up on the storm so we could get vehicles moved to safety just in time.

A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Kiowa, or 36 miles southeast of Denver, moving east at 20 mph.
