SEMA joined the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and community partners last week to celebrate the substantial completion of improvements along I-25 between Fillmore Street and Garden of the Gods Road and the completion of the Military Access, Mobility, and Safety Improvements Project (MAMSIP).

The I-25 to Garden of the Gods project added continuous acceleration and deceleration lanes in both directions, resurfaced the interstate, improved drainage, reconstructed and widened the I-25 bridges over Ellston Street, completed bridge deck repairs at Garden of the Gods Road, and upgraded intelligent transportation system infrastructure.

The Military Access, Mobility & Safety Improvement Project (MAMSIP) CM/GC consisted of seven independent construction packages across four project sites, involving the communities near Colorado Springs and Fountain, and military sites Peterson Space Force Base, Schriever Space Force Base, and Fort Carson. The project was developed to sustain economic growth in this region as each corridor is strategically important in moving personnel and equipment between these and other nationally significant military facilities.

SEMA joined the City and County of Denver, project partners, and community members to celebrate the groundbreaking of the 5280 Trail Acoma Street Segment.

The event brought together the people helping shape the future of downtown Denver, with remarks from the Mayor and community members highlighting the importance of creating more ways for people to connect, walk, bike, and experience the city.

SEMA is excited to bring this $11M project to life along Acoma Street, right next to the Art Museum, creating a pedestrian and bicycle connection through downtown Denver.

This groundbreaking marks the start of an exciting journey, and we’re proud to be part of a project that will make a lasting impact on how people move through and experience this part of the city. We’re looking forward to building this vision to become a reality!
