I thank all my wonderful customers who bring in the correct model, type, code, and serial numbers for me to look up parts for them. For those who do not know where the model number is located, start by looking under the seat. On the engine, it may be stamped into the rocker cover or on the air shroud. If you have difficulty in locating these numbers, we will help you.

Mark the calendar for Monday, 15 July, 2019. This was a very wondrous day! The customers were absolutely amazing! I was busy all day, many times customers waiting in line three deep, and I heard not one word of profanity, lots of "excuse me", "thank you", and just exemplary behavior. It was such a pleasant day for me and I thank all of those customers whose actions were so proper. Thank you very much.

A word about fuel: If you are having problems with running and/or starting a piece of outdoor power equipment (like a snow blower), the fuel may be the problem. This is even more likely if you reside in Lake or Porter counties in Indiana. If the fuel is older than five (5) days from the date it was purchased, discard this fuel. You can burn it in your vehicle. Get a fresh gallon of premium fuel (90 octane or greater). The fuel from BP Amoco, Shell, and Mobile have worked the best for us.

"Yes Ma! It's a MAYTAG." Does this sound familiar? or are you too young? From my work with 4-H youth I have learned that many do not know, or understand, a wringer washer. When I tell them of the Maytag with an internal combustion engine as the power source, they look at me in disbelief. They think I am funing them. It just shows how hard it is to have to believe in something.

This past weekend I attended the NIHPA (Northern Indiana Historical Power Association) annual show at Sunset Hill Park near Valparaiso. It is a wonderful show. There have only been a few occasions where I have seen so many vintage engines that were all running. A very wonderful sight and experience.
