The Utah Summer Games have been part of Cedar City for decades, celebrating their 40th year this year.

For BZI, supporting them feels personal. Southern Utah is our home, and these games have been bringing community together for generations.

As Megan Lamb, BZI’s Community Contributions Program Manager, who was a flag holder at the opening ceremonies parade in 1986 said:
“It’s a special opportunity that through BZI’s sponsorship and support of this very important community event, I can continue my participation decades later,”

We’re proud for our team to support the next chapter of the Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games.

This is ExoWall in action at Project Bighorn.

Using WallMaster, these large IMP panels are built at ground level before being lifted and placed as a complete system.

This process reduces work at height, improves installation consistency, and helps@crews move faster.

The most innovative solutions start with collaboration.

BZI and SUU Aviation recently partnered through a community relations initiative to design and fabricate a custom helicopter line retrieval box, built specifically for hands-on student training exercises. BZI Steel was proud to donate the completed retrieval box to SUU Aviation as part of this collaborative effort.

Shaped like our home state of Utah, this bright red box carries 100 feet of tow line and will be used in real-world aerial search and rescue scenarios led by SUU Aviation instructors.

From concept to delivery, this project reflects the power of teamwork, innovation, community partnership, and hands-on education. Delivered last Friday and ready for deployment.

What you don’t see: The cold mornings, the constant adjustments, the coordination it takes to keep multiple crews moving at once.
