So, we didn’t know this existed until a week ago (part 2) … we didn’t pay for the advertising or filming.
We were just the Design Build General Contractor on the job. A very collaborative effort - we mainly focused on ensuring schedule, trades, and owners were all on the same page. You know the easy stuff!
As you can see from the video, there is missing fascia, the piece originally delivered was kinked and working with the installer takes solid communication - from what we remember.
We were able to get a CO without it. How does that work? Technically, the building isn't complete, and more important for our contemporaries - is it really 'dried in,' the answer is yes. Fascia is architectural, and part of the look, not necessarily building completion. Clear direction and communication with the Jurisdiction is the factor. There is NO favors, there isn't an slight of hand, a Jurisdiction wants solid relationship with the building professionals they have operating in their sphere.
We like Great Western Building Systems, they have a solid building, and great communication! We have some great supply partners….
Obviously, we love our customers - including Great Western Tree Care.
We have been asked by some of our perspective customers, for samples of our work, here is something, in video format. Some of the work we self performed, some completed by our trade partners, and some by the owner. One part of the team that didn't get a shout out and was instrumental in getting us through SAFEBuilt was Chord Design Studios (https://www.facebook.com/chorddesignstudio) and PKMR Engineers (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063648276869) - facilitating and managing the owner- architect - contractor relationship through a build is one of the many things we enjoy in construction.
