Nature wasn’t designed to have monocultures. To have a uniform lawn with just one species, let’s say Bermuda or Fescue, literally goes against nature.

Lawns are basically useless. They don’t provide food or habitat. Granted, lawns are nice to look at and walk on.

But because lawns are what homeowners want, the chemical companies came up with products to make monocultures possible. Those products just happened kill everything else in their path to achieve a pristine, w**d-free lawn on a depleted soil.

Homeowners apply 10x more chemical pesticides on lawns compared to farmers on cropland. Turf grass is the largest irrigated “crop” in the U.S.

We’re not saying you should give up your lawn, but we do take a different approach to maintaining it. Our w**d control ingredients are citric acid, soybean oil and soap. Not glyphosate, 2,4-D, dicamba, atrazine and other 💩 YOU DO NOT WANT AROUND YOUR KIDS OR PETS. End rant.

Researchers are exploring how glyphosate may interfere with our bodies’ sulfation pathway, the process by which the body converts dietary sulfur into sulfate.

Sulfate plays a key role in detoxification and brain function.

When that pathway is disrupted, the body may struggle to clear toxins effectively.

That’s one reason scientists are looking more closely at a possible link between glyphosate exposure and autism.

What if common lawn chemicals are affecting detox and brain health? Learn how glyphosate may disrupt the sulfation pathway and what you can do about it.

How many times do we have to go through the same song and dance?

Chemical manufacturers push dangerous products onto the market that later prove harmful to the environment and make people sick.

It happened with the DDT ban in 1972. PCB was pulled off the market in 1979. Lead in gasoline was phased out by 1996. Asbestos turned out to cause cancer.

A growing mountain of research now connects several common chemicals to a staggering increase in the risk of Parkinson’s disease.

We now have clear evidence that certain chemicals actually target and kill the specific neurons in your brain responsible for movement and coordination.

Daniel is the newest addition to our staff, but already killing it out there (literally, when it comes to w**ds!)

He’s into gaming and automotive tinkering. His 1998 Ford Es**rt ZX2 was even cast in an upcoming movie called ‘A Good Fight.’

Daniel also spent time in Portugal back in 2017 doing mission work with Youth Missions International.

We’re glad to have him on board 🙌 If you see him out with the truck this week, definitely say hello! And if you think you’re seeing double, it’s probably because he is our other spray tech Josiah’s brother 🙂

We find it i-n-t-e-r-e-s-t-i-n-g that before spraying for mosquitoes 🦟 in the community, Durham County Public Health department warns people to:

▪️Stay indoors during the application and for 20 minutes after.

▪️Keep windows and doors closed and turn off window-unit ACs.

▪️Bring pets inside and cover ornamental fish ponds.

▪️Rinse homegrown vegetables thoroughly before eating.

▪️Wash any skin that comes into contact with wet surfaces.

Sounds totally safe, no?

While we know mosquitos are disease vectors, there are other, less toxic ways to prevent them in your yard! We wrote an entire blog on this, check it out.

Meet Josiah 👋

He’s been with us as a Spray Tech since last season, and we actually know him from church.

Outside of work, his hobbies are auto mechanics and welding.

An interesting fact about Josiah is that he was an attack helicopter technician in the Army and also holds a Commercial Drivers License.

If you see him out on your yard, be sure to say hello 🫡
