The door style is the single biggest decision you’ll make on a kitchen, and most people spend the least time on it.

Shaker — the safest. Works in almost any house and won’t look dated in ten years.

Slab — flat front, no frame. Reads modern and makes a small kitchen feel calmer.

Inset and Beaded Inset — doors sit flush inside the frame instead of on top of it. It’s the most expensive of the four because the tolerances have to be near perfect, and it’s the one people notice without knowing why.

Glass front — not a whole kitchen, just few panels to bring in brightness and make the space pop. Best trick: line the inside in a contrasting wood!

These are just a few of the trending styles right now but there’s many more to choose from to fit what you’re looking for🤍

Save this one for inspo when you’re looking!

Same footprint. Completely different feel.

Sometimes the biggest transformation: rethinking how a space is used—not making it bigger

The before and after tells the story!

The original room had dark brown walls, a small corner shower with gold-framed glass, a garden tub, and a glass block window. Everything read heavy and dated.

We took the tub out entirely and used that space for a large walk-in shower with a built-in bench and a window that brings in real daylight. The vanity is a warm maple with a quartz top and two sinks, with arched lighted mirrors above. Soft sage on the walls, marble-look porcelain floor to ceiling, and a full-height linen cabinet for storage that didn’t exist before.

And the thing most people skip over is the huge full length tiles covering the whole wall that just take your breath away🤍

Some kitchens look better in motion!

Soft light on the tile, brass that’s warm instead of shiny, a hood that just sits there being the best thing in the room.

Before and after of this amazing kitchen remodel, and this one’s a good example of what you can do inside an existing footprint.

The layout didn’t change. Same window over the sink, same island location, same pantry location . What changed was everything you touch and look at: honey maple raised-panel cabinetry replaced with soft painted doors and brass hardware, dark granite swapped for quartz, and the tumbled diamond backsplash replaced with a warm ivory tile that runs all the way up behind the plaster hood.

The over-range microwave is gone, which is the change most people notice first. In its place is a custom hood and a herringbone tile panel behind the cooktop.

The wall where the old double ovens sat is now a coffee and wine station with walnut floating shelves and a prep sink.

Dina designed and managed the whole project from start to finish, and Patrick oversaw build and installation.

Here’s a vision for an upcoming bathroom project!

Patterned cement-look tile, olive green fluted tile, walnut, and brass. The green is the piece that makes the rest work.

Stay tuned for the finished project!

Our favorite features in this white oak kitchen, and most of them are the ones you don’t see right away.

The pantry is the one people react to. Full-height, roll-out shelves top to bottom, so nothing gets lost in the back. No crouching, no digging.

Which one’s could you see in your kitchen?!

Finally got the finished photos back on this Raleigh kitchen, and we couldn't wait to share it.

Quarter-sawn white oak runs wall to wall in cadet finish all the way up to frosted, lit glass-front uppers. The island is painted a stunning clover green and wrapped in a thick waterfall slab of quartzite that spills right down to the floor. That same quartzite climbs the wall behind the range as a full-height backsplash, so the veining carries all the way across the room.

Our favorite part is one most people miss — the custom hood is the same quarter-sawn white oak as the perimeter cabinets, custom built to match.
