A week of changes. New beginnings - I am instructing a "Fitting Out Small Boats class" at Wooden Boat School this week. Last Thursday, we Launched "Sandy B." a 32' Pilot Gig. Which was built by my students in Westport. On Saturday, I had the honor to attend the IYRS Graduation! Congratulations to Ian, a student of mine from 2 years ago. Good luck in your career as a Shipwright!

Sign up to Build a classic Wooden shipswheel at Wooden Boat School. I am teaching a 2 week class in August the 9 th- 22nd. Students will build a 24" wheel constructed of Sapele with a bronze hub. Advanced woodworking skills are required. Such as marine joinery, furniture making and wood turning.
