NOW HIRING: ESTIMATOR β GRADING & EARTHWORK
Post Brothers Earthworks LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, with experience in grading, earthwork, sitework, or civil construction.
Requirements
β’ Minimum 2β3 years of estimating experience
β’ Experience performing detailed quantity and material takeoffs
β’ Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications
β’ Experience with grading, earthwork, excavation, clearing, utilities, drainage, or sitework preferred
β’ Ability to develop accurate and competitive project estimates
β’ Knowledge of labor, materials, equipment, trucking/hauling, and subcontractor costs
β’ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
β’ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
β’ Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
β’ Strong communication and problem-solving skills
β’ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
β’ Must be willing to travel to job sites or attend pre-bid meetings as needed
β’ Pre-employment drug test required
Responsibilities
β’ Review construction plans, specifications, bid documents, and scopes of work
β’ Perform detailed quantity takeoffs
β’ Prepare accurate project estimates and bids
β’ Calculate labor, material, equipment, hauling, and subcontractor costs
β’ Obtain and compare vendor and subcontractor pricing
β’ Identify project requirements, exclusions, potential risks, and additional costs
β’ Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals
β’ Communicate with contractors, vendors, subcontractors, and customers
β’ Maintain organized estimating and bid records
β’ Assist with projects from the estimating stage through the start of construction
