Yea it’s raining —light rain but I will take it.
Installing the “cap” on the stone border edging.
At first we purchase a 2’x4’ “slab” stone and cut
according to size needed. Our standard width
Is 6” at a minimum.
I install a “cap” for every stoneborder project.

The WATER FALLS project is back on progress.
My head mason’s father died and I decided to pause for two weeks.
The main framework is installed, tomorrow all areas will be applied “stucco “ as it’s being done now. Next week —-Completion

It’s very thick/compact
very cushiony on the feet
The present height is 4”
It looks great at 2” but common
height is 3”

We are in process of installing a “stucco” surface stone border.
We start with 4x8x16 cinder blocks
As you see my Mason apply the first coat of “stucco” mix. We use Portland cement Type S,
add sand (3-1 ratio) for two coats. The second is wetter / heavier and immediately use a “textured” roller to give the “rough” look.
Lastly, we will paint white.
For larger surfaces we use a “stucco”
sprayer/blower that will give the “popcorn “ look
